Article Processing Charges (APC)

Effective Date: 1 August 2026

Starting from 1 August 2026, manuscripts submitted to the journal will be subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC). The processing fees mentioned above include the expenses towards the electronic composition, production, development, maintenance of website, archival and peer review.

The applicable publication fees are as follows:
  • Article Submission Charge: IDR 0 / USD 0 (No submission fee)
  • Article Processing Charge (APC):
    • Indonesian authors: IDR 1,000,000 per accepted manuscript.
    • International (non-Indonesian) authors: Free of charge (USD 0). 
  • Waiver of APC Read more...The APC is charged only after the manuscript has been accepted for publication. There is no fee for manuscript submission.

Payment Process

Upon the formal acceptance of a manuscript, official payment instructions will be securely transmitted to the corresponding author via email. To prevent premature or erroneous transactions during the initial submission phase, our banking details are not published on the journal's website. Authors are required to remit payment within seven (7) days of receiving the acceptance notification.

Non-Payment and Ethical Considerations

Failure to complete the required payment following manuscript acceptance is considered a breach of professional publication ethics. Under such circumstances, the editorial board reserves the right to withdraw the accepted article from the publication queue and may restrict the involved authors from submitting future manuscripts to JPS.

Refund Policy

Please note that all payments made to JPS are strictly non-refundable. We do not issue refunds or credits under the following circumstances:

  • Post-Publication Actions: The retraction or removal of an article after publication (e.g., due to identified ethical violations, plagiarism, or scientific misconduct).

  • Processing Delays: Any delays originating from the editorial workflow, peer-review process, or the authors themselves.

  • Force Majeure: Unforeseen events or circumstances beyond the publisher's reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, infrastructure failures, or systemic disruptions.
