Aims and Scopes

Journal of Pubnursing Sciences (JPS) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to advancing nursing science, education, research, and practice. The journal publishes high-quality scholarly work that contributes to the development of evidence-based nursing and to the improvement of health and healthcare outcomes.

JPS welcomes original research and other scholarly contributions addressing contemporary issues in nursing and healthcare. The journal particularly encourages studies with clear theoretical, methodological, clinical, educational, community, or policy implications for nursing. Submissions should demonstrate methodological rigour, ethical research conduct, and a clear contribution to nursing knowledge, practice, education, or healthcare delivery.

The scope of JPS includes, but is not limited to, the following:

1.  Clinical and Specialized Nursing:

Clinical and specialised nursing practice, including Fundamental Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Maternal and Newborn Nursing, Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Gerontological Nursing, Oncology Nursing, Palliative and End-of-Life Care, and Rehabilitation Nursing.

2.  Community, Family, and Population Health Nursing:

Community Health Nursing, Family Nursing, Public Health Nursing, Population Health, Health Promotion, Disease Prevention, Global Health Nursing, and nursing interventions to address health inequalities and community health needs.

3.  Nursing Science, Education, and Professional Practice:

Nursing Science, Nursing Education, Nursing Research and Methodology, Evidence-Based Nursing Practice, Professional Development, Nursing Leadership and Management, Nursing Ethics, Health Policy, Patient Safety, Quality of Nursing Care, and professional practice development.

4.  Nursing Informatics, Digital Health, and Emerging Technologies:

Nursing Informatics, Digital Health, Telehealth and Telenursing, Health Information Systems, Artificial Intelligence in Nursing, Digital Health Technologies, and technology-enabled approaches to nursing practice, education, research, and healthcare delivery

5.  Complementary and Integrative Health in Nursing:

Complementary and Integrative Health, non-pharmacological interventions, holistic nursing approaches, Physical Activity, Exercise and other integrative practices that are supported by appropriate scientific evidence and are clearly relevant to nursing care and health outcomes.

JPS also welcomes multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary research when nursing is a substantive component of the study and the findings have clear implications for nursing science, education, practice, policy, management, or healthcare outcomes. The journal encourages research on emerging and evolving issues in nursing and healthcare, particularly studies that generate new knowledge, strengthen evidence-based practice, improve patient and population outcomes, or inform nursing education, policy, and healthcare delivery.

JPS considers a range of scholarly contributions within its scope, including original research, systematic reviews, scoping reviews, integrative reviews, methodological studies, and evidence-based practice research, subject to the journal's editorial and peer-review policies.
