Advertising Policy
1. Purpose and Ethical Alignment JoGSE permits limited and highly selective advertising to support scholarly communication while preserving editorial independence and research integrity. We strictly adhere to the Core Practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Any advertising arrangements must never compromise the integrity of the peer-review process or ethical publishing principles.
2. Editorial Independence Editorial decisions are absolute and entirely independent of advertising activities. Commercial or advertising relationships will not, under any circumstances, influence editorial content, the peer-review process, manuscript acceptance decisions, or publication schedules. JoGSE does not formally endorse any products, services, conferences, or institutions advertised on its platform.
✅ PERMITTED (Academic Categories)
Announcements of academic and scientific conferences.
Scientific publishing opportunities.
Academic programs with rigorous screening processes.
Activities that uphold the highest standards of academic integrity.
❌ STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Tobacco, alcohol, and related products.
Misleading, false, or scientifically unverifiable claims.
Content constituting personal attacks, racial discrimination, or political campaigning.
Advertisements from predatory conference organizers or publishers.
3. Advertiser Verification Criteria To ensure quality and credibility, all prospective advertisers must meet the following criteria:
Institutional Status: Advertisements or events must be organized by officially recognized higher education institutions, research institutes, or scholarly societies.
Transparent Governance: Full disclosure regarding the organizing committee, leadership structure, and financial sponsors of the event or institution is mandatory.
Ethical Compliance: Organizers must demonstrate a tangible commitment to COPE principles, particularly concerning the prevention of academic misconduct and plagiarism.
4. Placement and Visual Distinction
No Contextual Targeting: Advertisements will not be contextually targeted or specifically embedded within articles of similar editorial topics to prevent any perception of bias.
Clear Visual Distinction: The design and layout of advertisements must be readily distinguishable from scholarly article content. JoGSE does not accept or publish sponsored content in the form of "advertorials."
Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: All advertisers must declare any potential conflicts of interest prior to the display of advertisements.
Right of Refusal: The JoGSE Editorial Board reserves the right to reject, cancel, or remove any advertisement deemed detrimental to the journal's reputation or that raises ethical concerns.
Note: Any complaints or objections regarding displayed advertisements must be submitted in writing to the publisher.
