Crossmark
The implementation of the CrossMark logo reflects the commitment of Journal of Pubnursing Sciences (JPS) – PT Pubsains Nur Cendekia to maintaining published content and informing readers of any changes if and when they occur. The JPS content that will feature CrossMark is limited to current and future journal content and is also restricted to specific types of publications. Articles published as Accepted Articles or Online First will not currently have the CrossMark logo.
CrossMark is a multi-publisher initiative from CrossRef that provides a standardized way for readers to identify the official version of a document. PT Pubsains Nur Cendekia recognizes the importance of integrity and completeness in the scientific record for both researchers and librarians and strives to uphold this trust in its electronic archives. Clicking the CrossMark logo will inform readers of the document's current status. The logo may also contain additional information about the publication.
Correction Policy
Every article published in both print and online editions represents the Version of Record (VoR), which is the final, definitive, and citable version (as per NISO guidelines, 2008).
The VoR includes:
However, in certain circumstances, changes to the VoR may be necessary after publication. These changes are made following careful consideration by the Editor to ensure compliance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
Types of Corrections and Procedures
This journal implements a correction policy for both print and online editions to maintain the accuracy and integrity of scientific information. Any correction affecting the publication record will be assigned a DOI, published formally, and linked bi-directionally to the original article.
The four main types of corrections include:
Each correction is processed in accordance with COPE guidelines, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and accountability in the publication record.
Detailed information about each category of amendments is outlined below.
Erratum or Publisher’s Correction
An erratum is a notification of significant errors made by the journal that may affect the publication record, scientific integrity, or the reputation of the authors and the journal.
JPS distinguishes between major and minor errors:
Major Errors:
Errors that affect the interpretation of the article while maintaining its scientific integrity. For major errors, the following actions will be taken:
Minor Errors:
Errors that do not affect the reliability of the content or the readers' understanding. No separate erratum is issued, but a footnote will be added to explain the change. Examples of minor errors include:
Corrigendum or Author’s Correction
A corrigendum is a notification of significant errors made by the authors that may affect the publication record, scientific integrity, or the reputation of the authors and the journal.
Authors are given the opportunity to review and approve their manuscripts before publication. However, any changes post-publication can only be made through an official correction. The editor may approve the correction but reserves the right to charge a fee of $50 for issuing the correction, updating the original article, linking it to the correction, and resubmitting the article to various databases.
Procedure for Requesting a Corrigendum:
Outcome of the Evaluation:
Author Name Change Policy
JPS supports name change requests for reasons such as gender identity, religion, or marital status. These changes are made with full discretion and do not trigger a correction notice unless explicitly requested. This policy aligns with COPE guidelines to ensure inclusivity and anonymity.
Retraction
A retraction is issued to notify readers that a study’s findings are invalid, thereby affecting the article's reliability. The original article will be marked as retracted but will remain accessible to readers with a bidirectional link to the retraction statement.
Addenda
Addenda are issued to provide additional information that is relevant to the readers' understanding. These may include editorial expressions of concern regarding serious issues in a published paper.
Article Removal
Article removal is considered an exceptional measure and is implemented under specific circumstances, such as:
When an article is removed, the journal publishes a removal notice in place of the article.
Withdrawal Policy
Occasionally, authors may request to withdraw their manuscripts after submission for publication. However, such actions result in a significant waste of resources and effort invested by editors, reviewers, and editorial staff in processing the manuscript. Submitting an article to our journal implies that the work has not been previously published or is not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Therefore, the journal strongly discourages unethical withdrawal of articles after submission. Upon submission, authors grant full publishing rights to the publisher, and decisions regarding manuscript withdrawal rest solely with the editorial board.
For legitimate withdrawal requests, the corresponding author must submit a written request signed by all authors, including a clear and valid reason. The request will be reviewed by the editorial board, whose decision is final and non-negotiable. If a withdrawal request is made within three days of submission, authors may withdraw the manuscript without incurring any fees. However, if the withdrawal request is made after the manuscript has undergone peer review or has been accepted for publication, authors are required to pay a withdrawal fee of $150.
